Default Recommendations for a termite control company?

Hello,
I live on James Island and I've found termites in two trees located about 5 ft from the house. I'm hoping the problem was caught early enough that they are not in this wood frame house yet. The house does not have a termite bond protection. I'm a little nervous because I've always heard that many termite companies will say there is a problem even when there isn't because they want your money.

Are there any termite control companies in the area that you can recommend?

Anyone have experience with Atlantic Pest Control for termites?

Anyone have experience with Econo-Bug for termites?

Atlantic Pest Control said that they just need to look around in my crawl space to see if termites have entered the house but Econo-Bug said that they need access to the entire house. Which is correct ?

Anyone know what are the best treatment options? Fumigating? Termicide? Baiting?
What's the most affordable? Is fumigating safe for my family and pets?

Thanks for your help!

We've been with Palmetto Exterminators since 2006 and been very pleased. When we bought the house we did not have a transferable bond and so we started from scratch. They didn't find any problems, so we haven't been overcharged for anything. We've been really pleased with their services and their after-action reports when they come out for inspection and such.
