We've done a lot of the walking, shopping, sightseeing, going to the beach and eating out and we've had fun. It's just so so hot and we'd like to just chill and find something fun and interesting to do inside in air conditioning that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Any suggestions of fun things to do downtown?

You could take a harbor cruise. You can either sit outside or inside, though I don't know if it is air conditioned inside. I am guessing it is because when I see it go by, I see a lot of people inside. I'm not sure of the cost of this.

You could also go to the Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon. We went there and enjoyed it. It didn't cost a lot either. It is $8 a person.

The Gibbes Art Gallery; and - don't laugh - the Historic Society's shop on Meeting. We had an out of town friend here for the weekend, and she wanted to go see what they had; we ended up spending about an hour inside! Lots of goodies and neat stuff to browse.

Take one of the bus/shuttle tours that leave from the Visitor's Center. Gullah Tours gives a dandy Porgy and Bess tour with a driver who sings to you! Buy tix at the Visitor Center; most tours will pick up and drop you off at your hotel.
