Any suggestions on a great place to board my dogs for 2 weeks. They have never been boarded before, so I am really nervous about taking them anywhere. I live in Goose Creek but if I have to drive to Mt. Pleasant or Daniels Island I will. I went to the one here in Goose Creek, I wasn't too impressed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What kind of dogs do you have? Maybe Bed & Biscuit is not the right type of place for you if you have less active and small dogs...

Here's the thread with info: Dog Boarding Charleston/Summerville?

I didn't like the fact that they close at 5:30 and don't open until 8:30. it is a long time for a dog to go without peeing. that is 15 hours and if they do pee, their kennels are so small they would have to lay in it. One of the kennel was covered in poop when I walked through. It was all over the floor, it was probably around 11:30 when I walked through there. As much poop that was on the floor there in no way it just happened. There was one dog in his kennel shaking. I know dogs get anxiety from not being with their parents. but how about someone going in there to calm him down. That is what I saw. I just didn't get a good feeling about the place.

Well my old boarding place had the same hours, but those were office hours. It was a mother/daughter operation and they got up at 5 or 6 am to get all the dogs fed, playtime and bathroom before opening... They did the same after hurs. So maybe bed biscuit does the same?

The poop on the floor doesn't sound good.

The dog shaking is probably because you, a stranger, were there...all the dogs usually get excited/ anxious in boarding... Makes me sad to take mine, but has to be done sometimes....

You cant get a neighbor or kid to feed them for like 20 bucks a day? That way the dogs are more comfortable being in a place they are use to?

I think they are places that can come to your house and let the dog out/feed/walk but not sure the prices.

Robyn, No, that is their time they take the dogs out. I asked them about that. The dog shaking in the corner had nothing to do with me. He was in the kennel. I didn't even get near him. If you want to take your dog to that place go ahead.

ford2fast9, I am little nervous having a kid or a stranger come here to watch them, I live on a busy street and I really don't know how the dogs are going to act without me. They don't run away from me but I don't know if they would run away from a stranger.
