Wasn't terribly impressed with Grimaldi's, and we were sooooo excited about it opening here! Used to live down the block from the original - great memories of some seriously good pizza!
Cracker Barrel has some good eats. Love their blackberry cobbler and their breakfasts aren't bad either. I'm glad they came. Wife loves the little store too.
I'm trying to decide where to go to dinner tonight. Which one is better, Boulevard Diner or Page's Okra Grill?
I like both. Pages a bit more old southern cooking, Boulevard a bit more adventureous. Close to both is one of my favorites, the Mustard Seed which is notch fancier and same owner as Boulevard. Sal Paco.

You know it had been a year or so since our last time at the Mustard Seed and we were a little disappointing in our recent trip (3 months ago). We thought the food quality and serving sizes had gone down (at least on the crab cakes). We had invited out a friend that had just moved to town and was actually a little embarrassed at our recommendation after dinner. Hopefully it was just a bad night.
I understand Uno Mas is owned by them too, but that place has yet to serve me a good dinner. We tried it three times. We try to give a place more than one shot because bad days happen. But, in a town with as many good restaurants as Charleston, if you're bad after three it's probably a good chance that we won't be back.
