That is outstanding. What happens if they catch you removing the boot though?

I would think they could bill you for the lost boot if they don't recover it, at the very least. I imagine the replacement cost for the boot is more than the parking ticket.

I suppose they could try, but they would never get their money. Now, if I had actually TAKEN the boot, and they could prove it, then they could press charges for theft. I did not take the boot. I left it about 8 feet from where they left it.

I'm betting they couldn't do anything really. They might try a trespass on property charge or something, but it would likely get thrown out.

We're gonna try this again, lol. Is there any free parking on certain days in downtown Charleston? Some cities are free parking on Sundays or after 6 PM.

I think street parking, ie parking meter, is free on Sundays.....

We've decided it is easiest to park in a parking garage. It takes the guess work out of finding a place to park.
