Humidity hasn't stopped yet this year. When you live within 8 miles of the ocean and are surrounded by marshes, tidal creeks, rivers...you are gonna have a bit of humidity.
Seriously, someone said we have spring and fall? HA HA HA HA.... I've been here for 33 years. We do not have spring and fall, and winter in extremely mild. We're talking high 60s/low 70s around Christmas. February can sometimes get a little cold, to 40s, but not very often. We always hope for some cold to kill off mosquitoes, but it never happens.
Spring/Fall are each about 2 weeks long. It will be in the 90s one day and then suddenly in the low 70s and then you're in winter. There is not a distinct transition. The leaves do not change colors, everything either stays green or just goes barren. The weather is extremely WET - it's super sticky outside year round, 100% humidity in most months, and when it's not just hot and balmy, it's raining. It storms literally every afternoon in the peak of summer.
The climate is considered "semi-tropical" so yes, it's like Florida, very hot, humid, and wet. The weather in Charleston is typically about 10 degrees cooler than Orlando through most of the year, except the peak of summer when the temperatures are the same between those two locations. We get a lot of rain, so things grow like crazy. Ocean water is dark (not clear) but it's because it is very clean and rich in minerals/plankton, and you can get in the ocean and be "comfortable" from about April to Oct, then it gets a little cool, but is, ironically, warmer than the actual air a lot of the time in the winter.
