Hi Everyone!

My husband and I will be completely relocated to Charleston next week! I'm very excited since we've spent the month of January in separate states...him in Charleston and me in Los Angeles. Since our furniture won't arrive from CA until after Valentines Day, I thought it might be cool to spend a lovers weekend at a romantic hotel and have dinner at some great local restaurants. What are the most romantic hotels in Charleston (preferably under $200/nt) and the best romantic restaurants?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Our old standby for not completely breaking the bank has always been the Elliott House Inn over on Queen St. It's right next door to Husk & Poogan's Porch.

The rooms are small, but always very quaint. They have recently renovated the property, and we have not been...so I can't speak to the current "quaintness". LoL

Doesn't look like they have availability for Valentine's Day...which could be an issue you run into at this late date.

You might have a tough time getting a place downtown because SEWE is that weekend.

Use opentable to see availability and then come back here and ask about the restaurants you're interested in...be easier that way
