This is regarding the hacking of the South Carolina State Government computer system.

They have asked all SC citizens to enroll for free in the ProtectMyID program.

Since I have, for the last few years, put a Lock (Freeze) on mine and my wife's credit file ... is there any value in enrolling in the ProtectMyID program as well? //

None that I can see, just an additional -free- layer of protection.

It's free to you, so why not take advantage of having the extra layer of protection.....

I would, it's free and you can check your credit as often as you like. I got a letter that my account was one of the hacked ones and am glad to have that double protection.
