My local gas station went from $3.57 yesterday to $3.69 today. That was a big jump.

I'm assuming it's the same all around Charleston.

Not to mention it was $3.00 less than a month ago.

The gas station on my way home in Mt. P was still at $3.59 today. I'm sure t will go up. On the plus side, I only fill up twice a month.

$3.93 up in Western NY here. Just to put things in perspective. The more the news outlets talk about it, the worse it gets, since the price is based off a conception of demand, it's best not to talk about it. It will head back down eventually.

So thankful I work from home. Although I go from West Ashley to MTP 3x a week and drive around aimlessly just to leave my house, so sometimes I wonder, hehe.

I wish the media would stop talking about it too. If you drive, you know gas prices are rising, it's not really news.

I filled up for $3.39 on Sunday, and today the same station is sitting at $3.69 too. Need to get more Bi-Lo fuel perks I guess..

Brooklyn, NYC right now is easily $4.05

Manhattan has to be $4.50

Glad I flew up this time

Last Thursday driving to Myrtle Beach Airport I passed gas stations at $3.28
Will see this Saturday what they are now.. but will definitely get gas before coming back to MP

Yeah, prices were in the 3.30's or less last week. They are easily all at 3.59+, with predictions of being over $4 on average in SC as soon as St. Patty's day this year.

I recently moved from Greenville, which was known for having the cheapest gas in the nation. About a month ago, they were about 30 to 40 cents cheaper than Charleston. However, I just looked at their gas prices and they are around the $3.45. Boggles my mind that gas is jumping up so much.

My situation is "unique"...sort of.

I have a job that provides me a company vehicle and gas card. I drive a lot in it. I bought my truck new in June 2011 and got a new company van in September 2011. My truck JUST hit 12,000 miles this past weekend, the van is at the shop getting the oil changed as I type this at just over 26,000

Anyway, with all of that time on the road, I eat a lot of gas station food. Sometimes it's a bag of beef jerky other times it's just a bottle of water or a soda or whatever to wake me up and keep me going. That's why I only go to Sunoco stations when I can.

Their A+ card is pretty awesome. Depending on what promos they have going, you can get certain things and earn 1,2,3,4,5 or 10 cents off per gallon up to 20 gallons on your next fill up. I once put 3/4 of a tank in my truck (2011 Ram 1500) for $13. Honestly, I stopped worrying about gas prices about a year ago because I haven't paid full price for a fill up since last year.

I think they also have something going with Bi-Lo.
