Queen Anne's Revenge | Daniel Island

If you have kids, this is the place. The food is good, but the pirate memorabilia is awesome...and most, if not all, is authentic. There's a ton of pirate history in the many cases adorning the halls & walls there. It's a virtual pirate museum. A must go...even if you don't have kids.

And a generous but not heavy pouring hand from the bartender.
I love their Prime Rib, and I REALLY love their BLT sandwiches on a warm evening out on the patio.

This girl is ready for spring!

Preferably under $75 for a family of 4.
Looking for places away from the norm....McDonalds/Longhorns/Ryan's etc...
Things that are MORE exclusive to the area.
Places with a VIEW are a premium as well, but not a have to---thanks for any help.

If $75 includes tax and tip you are going to have to go more burgers than steak and seafood. I like Poe's a lot, also. I haven't been to Vickery's on Shem Creek yet but that is an option. Someone mentioned the Southend Brewery downtown, which is reasonable. There are so many options here it will boggle your mind. I'm not a huge Sticky Fingers fan, but that might be worth looking at too.

Guadalupe Grill in Mt Pleasant on Coleman Blvd is delicious South Western food. Carne asada & tomato soup like I never had. The kids will like the fruity frozen GG icy drinks, too. Note that it's one of the "casual dining" types: no waiter service. You order at counter & they bring it to the table. A couple of flat screens & not all on sports. Just overall nice.

Vickerys is good for families. Sullivans Island is a fun place to go because you can walk to the beach.....A few restaurants to choose from - Home Team BBQ is more my speed. Poe's is good but I really like Home Team BBQ 'cause I love me some BBQ.

Home Team used to have some of the better bbq in the area. I only say "used to" because we haven't been in over a year. Most other folks around here overcook, use dry pieces of meat to start with, or bake in an oven and call it "bbq".

It's a shame that other than Home Team the only decent bbq around are chains such as Sticky Fingers and Jim 'N Nicks. (our opinion only)

The oven baked stuff really irks me.

I don't know if it is the 'best' bbq but it is good. What about Melvin's or Bessingers.

The Bessinger family likes to use lean meat...doesn't make for good bbq "in my opinion".

Plus their sauce is horrid.

Many times, in the south, what you find good is what you grew up around. Therefore what some locals feel is great, I feel is terribly mediocre. The rolls would likely be reversed if the locations were as well.
