We have Allstate and for whatever reason the insurance went down a lot this year for one of the rentals. A lot as in, a few hundred. I'm not sure why; I had an elevation survey made and sent it in, but it showed that the living space at 12.6 feet (flood zone = 13) and the agent told me that it would help but only very slightly. If only they'd used an extra couple rows of brick when they made the place...
UPDATE: Found a new insurance company....cheaper on the auto AND on the homeowner's. The new homeowner's premium is
$300 less/year than the one we are paying with State Farm.
