Bangs & Bows, the hair salon in the Belle Hall Shopping Center specializing in hair cuts for children, now charges nearly $30.00 for a haircut with hairwash, and I am voting with my feet.

Does anyone know of a salon or an individual (located in Mount Pleasant) that does good work and has more reasonable prices, perhaps around $15.00?

Not sure if you can get that price at a salon. I know the salon I go to in Summerville charges $18 for a children's cut. The only places I know of that probably charge less are the chains like Great Clips.

Try Mark at M Salon in the Bi-Lo Plaza at S. Shelmore Blvd. He has been open under that name for 5 weeks. I don't know what he charges for a kid's haircut, but I had a highlight and cut done this weekend and it was $60. He was very good and he will now be my hairdresser.

Honestly... I go to the beauty school inside Citadel Mall. It's like $10 and I haven't had a bad experience there. I've always used beauty schools since college (there was one close to my college) and most of the time, the students are very professional and constantly asking questions to make sure they're getting your cut right, just because they know they're getting graded on it too

We've actually been very pleased with the Great Clips at Towne Center. It's just around the corner from Lowes. Even the wife has started getting her hair cut there as they do as good of a job as several places she's been to that charge $50+.

I believe this Great Clips location has gotten good reviews. I was looking for a salon recently and based my decision via google reviews and I probably would have gone here if they also did color. I would check out their ratings.
