The last place I went for oysters in Chas was Noisy Oyster. A friend of mine had a place on East Bay and several of us went down to visit him. We ate tons of oysters and half of the rest of the menu, plus a beer or twelve, then shuffled back to his place. It was a great time.

Bowens Island on the way to Folly Beach is by far the best oyster place in Charleston! The experience alone is well worth the drive!

I agree. Bowens Island is the closest you can get to an oyster roast in your yard.

ditto that, Bowens Island is the best in the tricounty short of roasting them yourself

too bad the older part of the building burnt down last year or you really would have had an experience of a lifetime

people go to that place and remember it for life...

they do benefit oyster roasts many times a year as well

Bowens Island is how oysters should be done.

BUT, there is a fairly new oyster bar downtown on East Bay, Pearlz.

I've never been, so I'd be interested to hear any reports.

Just got back from my first outdoor Oyster Roast. YUMMM!!!
Very sweet & Very juicy oysters. A good omen!

Been to Pearlz. A bit high brow for me, sort of like Seattle, as I'm now more accustomed to a low country feel.

Very good happy hour though!
