I would like to move myself and my two teenage boys to the Charleston area. I am currently in Buffalo, NY. I am a RN working in an ICU (Burn Unit). I can see that there are quite a few nursing jobs posted at various hospitals in the area, but I am having a hard time getting answers to one question. . .What is the average pay for an RN in the area???

Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated. I feel that I can't make a serious decision on whether or not I can do this until I have this info!!

Thanks, all!!!

As a new hire you're most likely looking at less than $30/hr...much less in some cases. If you have experience, $26-$28?

That depends on a few things:
- Years of experience
- Your FTE
- The shift you work (differential)

My guesstimate is that you'll probably base at around $30/hr.
