Our Trip is Booked...We are staying at my husband's business partner's Place on King Street No Kids with us!!

Recommendations for Restaurants?

Exploratory Trip as well as fun, Seabrook Island? kiawah island? We would like to drive around developments and such will we be able to do that or are they gated?

Hubby's Partner gave us a few places but thought you guys can suggest some more!!

Excited about our Visit!!

Thanks

You'll likely need a realtor and/or a reason to be riding around either Kiawah or Seabrook. They are private and have manned gates (no sneaking in).

There so many discussions across the internet about eating downtown I won't get started. Pick a spot & enjoy.

thanks for the info

maybe we will stick to seeing where shopping and Eats are for both these islands then...We aren't ready for a Realtor at this point and being a Former Realtor myself I don't want to waste anyone's time as this is our 1st trip

You gotta do High Cotton, Poogan's Porch, Magnolia's, 82 Queen, S.N.O.B , Peninsula Grill. or Hanks when you are here -- kind of signature Charlesotn restaurants.

Old Village Post House -- in Mt. Pleasant -- great experience especially after a day touring Mt. Pleasant. You could have cocktails on the creek, head to Old Village Post House for dinner and then head downtown to the market for some Kaminskys cake.

Personally -- I would want to try one of the foodie restaurants.....The Grocery, The Green Door, MacKintosh, Two Boroughs Larder, The Ordinary, McCradys, Husk, Fig

For a drink the Gin Joint and Closed for Business are places I want to check out.

Hall's is the priciest place in Charleston...after that everything else will be like eating at Taco Bell.
