Default Suggestions for Neighborhoods

Hey Folks,

We are looking for a house in the Charleston area and I was hoping some of you could chime in to suggest specific neighborhoods. I am focusing on West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant. Though I am open to suggestions. Of course before you can give me suggestions you would need some requirements from me right?

So here we go:
- reasonable (max 30 minutes) commute to Daniel Island (work)
- at least 3 bedrooms/ 2 baths - we prefer 4 (4th can be a FROG)
- we are looking to spend <$225k
- prefer something in a neighborhood that has a park (swing set, slide type) for our daughter
- schools are not as important as we will almost certainly send our daughter to a private school (she is only 3 now anyways)

Wow that's about all I can think of - let me know if I should answer more questions and thank you all very much not just for your input but for all the comments you make on this site. it is all very informative.

Default good commute to daniel island

tanner plantation. it is in hanahan off N rhett, a lower traffic road. your commute to DI would be only about 9 miles. Tanner is a newer planned community with many amenities and shopping on site. you will be able to find a lot of home for your money there.

Tanner would certainly work well. As to West Ashley, you'd want to be close to 526 to be ableto get to Daniel Island as fast as possible. Neighborhoods like Shadowmoss, Grand Oaks, Village Green, Canterbury Woods in West Ashley, and Tanner/Hanahan Plantation in Hanahan would have what you're looking for. I think Longpoint in Mount Pleasant, which is a great neighborhood, also might have a few listings at the top of that range currently.

There are certainly plenty of options. You could make a great deal in this market.
