I wish... you have to hit a local butcher and grill them yourself

This ain't Texas, son.

many years ago, here in South Carolina, many restaurants served beef bbq ribs... even Piggy Park, now known as Bessingers, sold bbq beef...

I'm not sure what happened to that but I sure miss them!

Sad that most restaurants around here miss out on real BBQ ...

... but can't you get beef ribs at Texas Roadhouse and/or Longhorns?

Probably the real BBQ ribs purists would not agree, but i think the ribs at the Sticky Fingers restaurants are pretty good....

After having the pleasure of eating ribs at Central BBQ in Memphis, Sticky Fingers just doesn't do it for me. I think their ribs are too tough. I wonder if the increased cost of beef has something to with the lack of beef ribs here?

It's more of an issue of beef not being traditional barbecue than an issue of price. That would be my first guess.

I know you won't find beef in any traditional barbecue spots that I know of in North or South Carolina. The only exceptions I have seen (a scant few...all in the Lowcountry) absolutely ruin the beef. They are all better off sticking to pork.
