Default New Charleston Area School Test Scores

I thought that forum members might find the latest Charleston area school test scores just published in the Charleston Post and Courier of interest. As you can see, Charleston County does have some excellent schools as identified by an objective criteria.

Students' scores on South Carolina's high school exit exam were among the best the state has posted on any standardized test this year, according to data released Friday. More than 77 percent of the state's 10th-graders passed the exit exam on their first try in spring 2007.

The percentage of first-time test takers who passed the state's high school assessment exam in 2007 compared with 2006.

I think it's great to see that most of the lower income area schools score's have gone up.

When you open the newspaper and read articles about your former high school losing 100-3 in football, you don't get many chances to brag.

So I'll take what I can get!

Go Academic Magnet! Woo Hoo!

For the "Anyone is Welcome" Public Schools;
Wando & Dor. II once again shine.
Very impressive on Wando.
Can't wait to see what the newly built schools are going to do.

Haven't lived in Charleston for a long time, but went to H.S. there. Nice to know this about the schools, thank you. But what happened to my old school, St. Andrews Parish H.S. ?? Doesn't seem to be on the list.

St. Andrews High School is long gone....replaced by West Ashley High School. Middleton High School is gone too - those students also go to WAHS.
