I really would not call it stereotyping, I merely was inquiring from what I have heard. I hear pleanty of stories of newbies being left out made fun of and called names. The south always ranks low in the education department. I'm not here making fun of anyone. I watch cops on tv " filmed in the south" also whenever I watch a comedy they constantly joke on the south. Alligators black widows and snakes I just don't know.
I really hope your ignorance is based on your age and immaturity. The fact that you believe what you see on "Cops" to be the standard of southern life well then...just stay where you are.

This shows your complete lack of ignorance for those who live here. Have you not EVER traveled to other parts of the country or anywhere outside of the United States?! Obviously not with how you are phrasing your questions and your total misunderstanding of the culture. But you are doing a great job continuously putting everyone down here
By the way...I'm a Northerner who has lived in South Carolina for 7 years. It still amazes me how I have survived with all these crazies (sarcasm my SC peeps)
Get over your current mentality or you'll be in for a rude awakening.
We are relocating in October because of a job transfer. We really do not want to move we enjoy where we are. I cannot afford to leave my present employment. My questions. I know the south is different we are looking for somewhere there is a supermarket bigger then a shoe box. Hopefully we will find decent food "not microwave everything".Hopefully we can find educated people that can hold a conversation. We are looking for walk-able neighborhoods. Neighbors who maintain their property, control their children and actually park their cars on pavement. Our budget is 250, 000. We appreciate any suggestions.
You will not make it here or anywhere else with that attitude. I suggest you stay where you are.
I asked questions never put anyone down. The questions might have been strong but not personal. But I have been called names told not to move here and supposedly hit the right nerve to undo suthern hospitality. If someone felt my questions were wrong misguided and possibly insulting. Then why not expain why I'm wrong w/o name calling. I quess it dose not take much to bring out someone's true personality.

Protip: it seems that nearly everyone here moved to the area from somewhere else.
