I printed out a very nice detailed drawing of the plan and it shows exactly where it goes and is very detailed.
Here, I looked it up for you... http://www.scdot.org/MCE/pdfs/RPA_Johns_connectors.pdf
That map I posted is a detailed map showing the neighborhoods, you can zoom in and see the streets even. You need to have a computer that will work with it , I think it is PDF.
Thanks for the map of Alt G, but the one I posted is much more detailed, if you zoom in you can even see where the ramps will be on River rd.
My pc handles it fine and I have a couple of pdf readers but I get a headache trying to read that map. Am I right in understanding that it starts somewhere on Headquarters Island and cuts off about a third of the upper route? And then also doesn't show James Isl? Also, it isn't oriented N/S?
Not trying to complain, just wondering if I'm doing it wrong. I've never understood why, with all the folks strongly arguing both sides of 526, no one's ever laid it out on a google map with all of google's features.... zoom, map/satellite views, measure, plot, etc. I laid out the main route once (no guarantee of exact accuracy) but I didn't add the feeder routes and all. This is that map: http://goo.gl/maps/xedc3
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! Thank you Speaker of the House SC Bobby Harrell!! and Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce! It will be completed by 2017 Cape.

You have to be patient with the map I posted here. It takes a long time to load, but is so detailed. You can even see where the ramps will be on River Rd. You can see how close it comes to Headquarters Island, and I will look back at it , but I almost sure you can see right where it crosses Riverland drive right next to Terrabrook. Hope you can find it if you scroll and move the map south.

I can see how close it comes to Headquarters but I don't see anything of West Ashley or James Isl. I even downloaded the map again thinking maybe I hadn't gotten the whole thing.

Go to Charleston County's site , and find the 526 updates, they have several maps you can look at.
If it were a commercial building they'd never let it be built for lack of fire exits.
Without that extension, god help those residents if there's ever a need for an emergency evacuation.
