It is about time Bass Pro Shops opened more locations in South Carolina. It is a matter of time when and where, not if, they open in the upstate, preferably Spartanburg, to compete against Cabela's.

There's arguments to be made on both sides here and I'm not knowledgeable enough to do so, but I do feel for the locally owned businesses like Haddrells and Charleston Angler that have to compete without tax breaks. It may be good for the community as a whole but doesn't seem fair to them.
I've never been in a Bass Pro Shop but I'll probably check it out when they get here.
I didn't read in the article where they were offered any tax incentive. Am I missing that point?
