It is a community for 55+ that will be located in Summerville. Actually from the way it shows on the map it is closer to Goose Creek, but I guess technically it is within Summerville boundaries. That area out that way is supposed to boom.

It is Summerville..there is info on the web under delwebb dot com

Del Webb in Cane Bay just 25 miles northwest of historic downtown Charleston, 20 minutes to Charleston International Airport and 35 minutes to local beaches, marinas and resort islands.

Dell Webb, I am sure will be way out of my price range.

any thoughts on Goose Creek, and Moncks Corner?

I hit the big 60, have two dogs, do not wish to mow lawns.

I am in Florida, looked b4 at N.c. apex, and Willamsburg, which I did like.

I do read get out of Florida, however, where I am, New Tampa, we were
lucky. And in late Oct., when it is sun tan time, not so bad! I moved from MA.

Judy,
Check web, specifically for "Del Webb in Cane Bay". Due to start pre-construction sales in Spring 07, with first occupancies by some time that fall. No specific details on prices, floor plans, etc. avail yet, but their sales offices say it'll be single family detached style homes. An alternate option in nearby area is "the Elms of Charleston".

You might like these homes in Columbia. Patio homes, just being built, where they mow your lawn, etc. Fenced back yards. Very well known builder. In good part of town. Very affordable. Not selling - just live near there.
