I am going to be in Charleston about a week from now, and I want to get my girlfriend a gift that is unique to the area. Does anyone have an suggestions on what I could possibly get (besides something that is like a t-shirt that says 'Charleston')?

Cheap:
Palm rose (1.00)
Medium: Firefly Vodka, or another local brewed alcoholic beverage
Expensive: Sweet grass basket

Isn't the plain vodka the only one made locally?

There are a few other locally made rums/vodkas. Bottles has a good selection of those. There is always the wine that's made here as well.

I agree with a sweetgrass basket. Some of the vendors even make sweetgrass earrings. You could put some benne wafers, Charleston tea, and pralines in the basket for her.

Not sure of your budget but the jewelry moneill suggested is going to warm her heart more than food, vodka, tea or even a basket imo.
