Mama Brown's is a really good choice for value as well, never the wait that you have with Bessenger's, and their BBQ sauce is better.

Drop PF Chang in favor of the Old Village Post House.

Shem Creek Bar and Grill
The Boulevard Diner
Crave
Opal
Coleman's Public House
King Street Grill
Basil
Amalfi

Do you lump IOP and Sullivan's in this list?

Wow if we were going to Sullivan's gotta put Home Team BBQ and Poe's Tavern in there for sure!
The pulled pork bbq nachos at Home Team are to die for.

King Street Grill is good but they are just so darn noisy...
Basil and Crave I left off due to prices. But both are very good food wise, trendy places to eat.
You know, I've only been to the Old Village Post House once, it was decent but very pricey, and the parking down there is funky.
Nothing wrong with your list at all IsNull, I was just going for more of a budget approach.

I thought your list was more Foodie based. I didn't realize it had a price cap. The restaurants I mention weren't exactly my top 10 or anything. Just in general good places to eat.

I really liked Amalfi and A-Dough-Rei-Mi. I've heard the pizza at ADRM has changed since I visited, though. We also like Pawley's Front Porch.

Don't go to MTP for food often, as I live in West Ashley. But, I agree that Page's is one of the best. Great service, food, and prices. I don't think it's touristy at all. If tourists are there, it's because it came locally recommended. I do recommend it to my friends who visit MTP and wonder where to eat.
