I was beginning to wonder if that store would ever be finished. I had to talk to Harris Teeter customer service about something else and I asked when that store would open and they said in Sept.

Here is what it looked like today.

It always seems to take so long to get it done.

I've been real pleased with the transition of our Mt. Pleasant Piggly Wiggly to H.T. The "Pig" always seemed out-dated and dirty to me, since the Teeter took over, I've found myself leaving the crowds of Publix behind and shopping more and more with them. They are easy to use, good prices, and the store feels in touch and up to date. Couldn't be more satisfied.

The new Harris Teeter at Wescott Plantation on Dorchester Road has had the best opening sales in the history of the stores.

Definitely looking forward to this location opening this year.

I would love for The Ponds location to get built too (all of three minutes from our house), but I have a feeling that's a looooong way off.

Yep, I sure do miss those 10.00 off 50.00 coupons they mailed out. I also like their 5.00 off gas cards when buying 40.00 worth of groceries and love it when they double up to 2.00 coupons which they are doing this week at Wescott.

This new store is right off the Sawmill Branch biking trail so I'll be able to run over and pick up things via bike which will be so nice.

If you shop their deals, you can get decent ones but they tend to be overpriced otherwise. I don't think their prices are that great but their selection and quality is wonderful. HT was really popular in the Charlotte, NC area and there seemed to be one on every corner. They always did such a nice job keeping it up...no matter where it was located.

One complaint I have with the opening of the new Harris Teeter. They do not include their weekly ads/promotions,etc. in the Post and Courier or Journal Scene editions that go to 29483 households. I sent an email to corporate after it had been open for a couple of weeks but no response yet. I would think our proximity would be close enough to warrant their advertising. Guess we have to wait until there is one in our zip code.
