Yeah I was excited to read about that yesterday. Can't wait. I honestly don't mind any gentrification up until a few blocks north of 17/26 interchange. Bring it on!
Thanks for posting. I had heard about this development. The only disappointment is that it will not be truly mixed use without some housing. Seems like it would be an ideal location for some very nice condos on the upper floors. Not sure if there's a view to capitalize on?

They were going to do condos back in 2005/6 before the bottom fell out of the market.
And now they're not going to do any condos, just office & retail space? If true, seems shortsighted. Have you ever heard of the Presidential Towers in Chicago? Amazing views of the city from condos above shops on lower floors, beauty shops, florist, newsstand, boutiques. And of course great places to eat. Used to be right next door to public housing, but I think that was torn down.
Didn't mean to imply it had to be just like PT or anything, just illustrating the concept. Rory we must have posted at the same time. I sure do wish I had money to invest, I would be all over that haha. Seems like a good idea. What's the catch?
Yeah, I wish it wasn't directly across the street from the Port, that would be a turn-off for me if I owned a condo there, but still it's a beautiful building that needs to be restored and kept around forever.
