We are retiring in Mt. Pleasant this year. We are looking for a area where we (adults) can hop on our bikes (not load them on the car) and ride (fitness ride not beach cruise) for 10 miles + every day. We do not like riding on busy roadways but realize long bike trails are rare in neighborhoods. Please suggest neighborhoods where we could bike for several miles without constant stopping and roadway congestion. We are thinking that larger neighborhoods such as Dunes West might work. What about Park West? Any others? Also if we wanted walking trails (more than 1/2 mile) where should we locate?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

The village of Park West (& its annexed area of Dunes West) works for the scenario you suggest.
