Good list. I see a few I'd like to visit but I would like to visit Boston as well!
It's not hard to love Boston if you love Charleston, and vice versa. Despite centuries of political differences, they are ironically very similar in many ways, mostly due to their beginnings.
I will say however, Charleston people are much more welcoming and embracing by nature. If you visit Boston, be ready for a much more standoffish attitude. And I say this as an old-time native New Englander who comes from a long line of people with standoffish attitudes.

Have to disagree. I just came back from a trip to Boston (I'm also a New Englander) and I thought people there were extremely friendly and genuine. One thing about people from Boston..if they don't like you..you will know it. There's no pretense or fake friendliness. I find there's more people here who are not always genuine in their feelings about you.. I'd rather know where I stand than have that false sweetness I've experienced at times here.
I think the difference is, people from down here welcome you with open arms, and reserve opinion until later. In NE, they keep you at a sceptical arm's length until they can form a judgement.
