I heard steak at fat hen is awesome haven't had it had their braised lamb, specials and brunch which are amazing!

Grill 225 is a good call for more of that classic steakhouse feel that the OP was looking for. Plus you can go upstairs for a drink and relax after you're stuffed.

haven't been to Hall's but sounds like a good option too

On a side note -- Cypress is certainly not what you think of as a steak destination, but the filet there is one of the absolute best I have had recently.

I said it is a cheaper option. Not a direct competitor. I personally believe Halls, Oak and Burwells are so much better than either Ruth's Chris or Morton's that it's hard for me to say that they are good alternatives. Burton's is a lot closer to RC and Morton's than any of the aforementioned three.
