I am visiting Charleston after the holidays to scope our neighborhoods- we are looking to move to Charleston from Virginia in the summer. I'm going to be looking at homes in the Summerville/Ladson/North Charleston/Goose Creek area, and am wondering if there are any new(er) hotels in the mid-priced range (less than $150 a night) that people would recommend. I've read reviews online of some decent hotels like the Hampton Inn in Summerville, but it seems like a lot of the hotels are in need of an update/remodel.

Thanks!

If you're looking for straight-up Summerville, Marriott just opened a brand new "Courtyard" hotel in the Nexton development.
