There are a lot of 14u travel ball teams here in Charleston. If you are looking at him playing at an academy, try Charleston Baseball Academy in Goose Creek. For 14u, the majority of the teams won't play until after high school ball and middle school ball finishes up in the spring.
We went with a coach out in Ravenel. He doesn't have a team for my son's current age groups but works with other top level teams and my son fills in with those teams and one of his higher aged teams some weekends He's a great coach, has done his research and is good with the kids. The KIDS are his most important feature not his trophies games he's won, not that his teams don't have a very nice resume. That is most important to me, the development of the kids.
