Hello, I was considering moving down to south carolina as some family of mine has moved down there in the past few years and with starting with making a fresh start was thinking about getting involved in teaching as opposed to continuing in busines as it's something I've always had the desire to do and taught in college afterschool programs. I have read about a program called PACE which is an alternate route to teacher certification. Was wondering if anyone has been through this or knows someone who has and can comment? Thanks.

Depending on the subject, can be difficult to be hired as a PACE candidate. Subjects that don't have many college certification programs- Business, Health Sciences, Career and Technolgy- you have a good chance. Also have a shot in Science and Math as those are critical needs. English, Social Studies, Physical Education, etc.- there are tons of already certified applicants that can't sniff an interview.
