We have some friends headed to Chasn next week who want to walk a portion of the bridge from the Mt Pleasant side. Is the Waterfront Park at the Pier the best place to park or is there parking that offers closer access to the bridge? Thanks for your help.

At the foot of the bridge there is a bit of parking in and around the gas station.

Yeah, last time I parked near the gas station, mine and 3 other cars got keyed. Looked like some dip**** walked by and got all that were parked there. I figured some local didn't like to share. I was just hoping there was a better solution. Thanks.

I always park at waterfront park. It is close and there is a paved walking path to the base of the bridge.

Waterfront Park, underneath the bridge. It is right off Harry Hallman Jr Blvd and there is also a park there for kids to play.

Waterfront park -- tons of parking. Walk a little bridge, walk the pier, enjoy the park. Why anyone would still park at the gas station is beyond me. THe park is closer and nicer and you don't have to wonder if there is going to be a parking spot.

Ya looking at Google Earth the start of the bridge is much closer to the parking lot for the park than I thought, not even 300ft
