Summerville Medical Center and Trident are indeed the closest, however, if anything that required more serious attention (and more specialized doctors) arose, MUSC is right in Charleston and is absolutely top notch. There are very capable physicians in Summerville and Charleston. Referrals are going to be the way to go. Was there a specific field you were looking for a specialist in? Maybe one of us has an idea.
My mother has been treated a number of times at Summerville Medical Center for heart problems and has always received excellent care.

First; HI STELLA! Hope all is well & thanks for the kind words. We'll try to warm it up a bit soon.

Second; Nomony, we very well may have gone to school together. I know we will know the same people from Deer Park.

Third; & most importantly, you need to see the alternatives we have to Del Webb here in Charleston. As Stella would agree, it's a great place that may be just what you want, but then again...

It kind of depends where you are headed.
17A is actually more south to East.
You could also take 176 straight into 52.

Where do you want to end up?
