I don't believe so, it's self serve. Just a matter of others that might be waiting. Had some friends that ran a 150gal salt tank and would get all their RO water to mix from MtP's stations. They just put it in 5 gallon jugs.
Charleston tap water is definitely above average, especially considering that much of the southeast has hard water. It was a delight to take a shower in soft water with abundant soap lather! At the hotel I stayed in, the water had slight earthy / dirt smell and taste to it, which is common for places that use surface water sources.
At the restaurant we ate in, the water had no smell or taste whatsoever. You will be presently surprised with the tap water quality here. It is much better than many places in the US.
It's perfectly fine on John's island and Summerville too!
