Default Relocating to South Carolina

My family and I are looking to relocate to Charleston, however being from Cape Cod MA we want to be close to the ocean as we enjoy boating. Which areas would be best to start looking? Is Goose Creek close to water access?

Depending on where you put the boat in you are looking 20-30 min. from Goose Creek to salt water. There is a lake about 15 min. from Goose Creek. It is low right now so anyone that doesn't know the lake should probably avoid it until the water table goes back up.

Mt. Pleasant, James Island, Daniel Island and West Ashley might be a good place to look if you want to be a little closer to salt water.

Basically it comes down to money.

How top end do you want to be? We have plenty of coastline, it just matters who/what lifestyle you want or can afford.

Give us an example. DIOR/Beach Boys/OC/etc...

From Goose Creek you can access to the Cooper River at Bushy Park landing. From that landing you are about a 20 minute boat ride to Charleston harbor.
