I think they're around $360/year

Edit: That's HOA fees...not sure if that's what you were asking...

That would be HOA dues alone. It buys you nothing at Snee Farm Country Club. Snee Farm HOA has no amenities. The amenities are all available at Snee Farm CC. I believe Snee Farm HOA also has a "transfer fee" that is a % of the sale price.

Yes, was asking about the amenity (country club fee) not the HOA fee. Some places are a la carte - so much for tennis, so much for pool, so much for golf, others seem to lump it in all together.

As I recall from doing my research before moving, Snee Farm's CC was privately purchased, and turned hands a couple of times. I think that's probably what's ahead of a lot of new developments around here. It's simple economics; build it, and they will come, and then sell the cash-draining amenities off sooner or later.

Snee Farms is hardly a new development ...20 plus years old ....pretty much the first development of its type in the area...if you need info on amenities ... just call them ... or ask your broker ... instead of getting the info second or third hand.

Did I say it was new???
Actually, the reason I researched it to begin with, was it was an older neighborhood, which I liked.

Any reason you weren't considering Rivertowne on the Wando? It's a great community also. Welcome!

I really like Rivertowne, but my husband doesn't like 41 and the distance from 17. Aside from that, though, the yards are too small for us with the dog.

Really pretty place though. Love the style of houses and the setting.

One of the problems with Rivertowne is that there is only one road in and out. Rivertowne Blvd. It can be really tough getting out in the morning rush. Of course being retired you can control that more then most.

Also the last few places you asked directions to (MTP Hospital and Town Center) would be easier to get to from out Rte 41 then from where you are now. Also out Rte 41 to Clements Ferry Road to I526 opens the whole west side of Charleston (North Charleston, West Ashley, the Airport, The outlet malls, etc.) to easy access. Just hold your nose on the way past the paper mill.......LOL

Yeah, I know those things are closer from 41 than DI but hubby is just not interested.

I sometimes forget to close the air vents in the car going over the bridge past the paper mill - not so pleasant....
