Looking to save some $ on my cell plan.

I'm paying almost $175 or so all in for Verizon. 2 lines, 4 GB data.

Wife wants a new iPhone and my current V contract is expired so I can switch without penalty.

Would like to hear from others in the area on what plan they have, did you switch from V, are you happy, what are you paying for what?

Thanks!

Our personal Verizon plan is unlimited talk/text and 4GB of shared data between two lines, and its only $115 per month.

We have friends on both AT&T and T-Mobile, and we always seem to have the better coverage, but that's just my anecdotal experience.

T-Mobile, despite the wife having issues with Deutsche Telekom. It's just over $90/month, unlimited talk/text, 6GB/month. No coverage problems wherever we've lived or travelled.

Page Plus which Works on the Verizon system. $40/mo unlimited talk and text, 1gb data. There are plans with more data but I don't know the cost offhand. The $40 is $40. No tax, fcc charges, etc. Also, no contracts. Try it for a month and move on if you don't like it.

Verizon

Had ATT when we moved to Charleston, but constantly had signal issues and was especially bad when I would go into buildings. The wave form ATT uses doesn't penetrate buildings as well as the one used by Verizon. However, the wave form used by Verizon has been the issue with using voice and data at the same time. But I believe some advancements in VOLTE is now allowing that to occur.

ATT's signal issues were especially bad in North Charleston and Mount Pleasant. And there was always hand off issues going over the Don Holt.

I have four phones with unlimited everything, long distance to Canada and hot spot on one phone for $265.00. I'm with Sprint. I get the same coverage as my husband who has Verizon,, even when we are driving through the Wet Virginia hills on the way to Canada. Everyone seems to think Sprint doesn't work well but I have no issues.

Went from AT&T to Verizon...too many dropped calls with ATT.... sometimes I had to go outside my house to make a call with ATT.... switched to Verizon and was paying $140 mo for 2 lines, unlimited talk and text, 2 GB data. Contract over.... now I pay $90 mo for 2 lines, unlimited talk and text, 3 GB, by extending my contract one year.... I've had Sprint and AT&T but Verizon has the best coverage for my needs....

Call Verizon... you can negotiate if your contract is over....actually go to "My Verizon" in chat mode. Tell them your bill is too high and you are shopping with them and other carriers too.... It worked for me and I'm down to $90 and only had to extend my contract for one more year....

Straight Talk with a phone that uses Verizon towers. $45 a month - unlimited talk and text with 3GB of data. They have phones that use different towers, so choose the phone that uses the towers you want.
