1. Beautiful, historic buildings

2. I walk by palm trees to go to work!!!

3. Gorgeous beaches and waterways

4. Sunshine, blue skies - so different from PA

5. Mild winters - no snow!!!

6. Lower gas prices than up north

7. Great BBQ places that are open only on the weekends

8. You can buy beer and wine in the grocery stores (can't do that in PA)

9. Love the accents

10. I also love the big old trees and spanish moss

11. Fabulous seafood

12. Nice, easy pace - some people complain about it, but I think it's much healthier to not be so rushed and stressed all the time

Well, that's more than fiive, and I could list a lot more, but you get my drift

I actually never noticed this thread before or would have responded a long time ago. Here goes.....

1) The weather/climate
2) The water - rivers, creeks, ocean, lakes, etc. (Hey, I'm a Pisces!)
3) Fresh seafood and lowcountry recipes
4) Friendly people
5) Always something to do....if you're bored, it's your own fault!
6) Laid back lifestyle and pace of living
7) Location....very easy drive to get to Atlanta, Charlotte, Asheville, the mountains, Orlando, and my family in VA, GA, and FL are all within 6 hours
8) The parks and beaches

I could go on and on since there isn't anything that I don't like about living here!

I looove how green it is! There are a variety of parks, and alot trails scattered all over the place, and with the history that comes with Charleston, there's soo much sightseeing to do. If you guys ever have any trouble finding parks around here, I've come across this site dedicated to sc- and found a list of parks, and trails and stuff <http://www.visit.sc/content,parksandrecreation/>

I also love the fact that the people I know in the upstate are usually like, man the weather sucks here I wish I lived down there where you are!
