I want to know what people think of Nexton. Do you think it's desirable? Do you see it becoming the next Daniel's Island? What are people saying?

I see fast internet, tons of traffic, and cookie cutter homes (on their website they say over 10k homes and 2k apartments).

Volvo will be building "up the street", new hospitals/health center planned nearby, I see a lot of jobs coming to the area.

I agree with Chas 2014.... especially due to its proximity to the new Volvo installation . ...As far as it becoming the new Daniel Island ... its probably too far out from the City... and as per their advertised price points ...SFH at $200k to $400k .... whereas Daniel 's SFHs start at about $500K and go to $3million plus.... average sale price for SFH for the first quarter of 2015 on Daniel were $856k ... Just two very different economic markets.

^ Not true. The only difference is one has access to navigable water, the other areas don't. DI, Nexton, Carnes Crossroads, etc, are all (going to be) highly desirable areas. You can't compare comp to comp in this instance.

The markets are the same: metro Charleston.

It's cute, but it's in too crowded of an area for my taste

Whats not true ? ... its just the facts ...not what youd like it to be ...got facts ?.. housing markets all over Metro Charleston are substantially different... as they are in most metros ...

Yes DI has navigable water ..and amongst other things ..is what makes it a different market.

Desirable is subjective.
