Hello, I am looking at a house in Boulder Bluff in Goose Creek. Some people told me that years ago it was not the place to live. That it is a bad neighborhood. Does anybody have any information on this neighborhood because I cannot seem to find much of anything. Is this a good place to live or is it best to look elsewhere? Thank you much and appreciate it!

One thing you can do is call the Goose Creek Police: 843-572-4300
They can certainly tell you what that neighborhood is like in terms of crime, etc.

Okay so here is an update. I drove over to Boulder Bluff yesterday where a van with two bigger heavy set looking guys drove by me and threatened to "drag me out of my car." I looked at them like what the *&%^ did he say. Then the two thugs got out like they were going to beat me down and started talking more crap? I got out of my truck and they mumbled more stupid trash talk and then got back in their van and took off. It was right beside the elementary school. Needless to say, I guess Im not moving to Boulder Bluff.

Is your search engine set at Best Bad Places, or something?

if you are up that way, look into Tall Pines, that's seems to be pretty safe, as far as I know.

I grew up in Boulder Bluff in the 80s an 90s and my parents still live there. Boulder Bluff used to be a great area back then. It was a bunch of middle class blue colored workers; a lot of those people being Navy. With the submarine base moving out and those older folks buying bigger and better homes, Boulder Bluff has become a hot bed for cheap rentals and section 8 housing. With these cheap rents, generally comes a lower class of people. My parents live in the back part of Boulder Bluff (Montague Plantation) and have managed to avoid most of the riff raff that live on the Streets around Amy, Mary Scott, Jean Wells, etc. I would say that if you want a safe part of Boulder Bluff, that you move to the back in Montague Plantation or the newer housing that is being built behind that. But stay away from Beverly Hills/Feckle Field Area and anything between Amy Drive and 52. Good Luck!
