I happened to be in Park Circle and saw a lot of fliers for events and things happening around there. Is there a place online that says what things are upcoming? I'm a fan of stand-up so if they have any regular stand-up places or things of that nature I would love to know about it.

Or just in general. Most of the time I'm told by co-workers of things that are coming up.

Charleston City Paper is a great place to find all events. Another thing to do is to take note of a venue and follow on Facebook.....or follow Park Circle on Facebook. Charleston City Paper - Restaurants | Music | Events | Arts | News

Khohf, there is stand-up every Monday night at the Sparrow just off of East Montague for local comedians to come test out some of their material. It's free to go watch. Then, the last Thursday night of every month, Neil Bansil brings in comedians from other areas (NYC, Atlanta, etc.) to do another show at the Sparrow - there's normally a food truck there, and that one usually costs $10 or so.

The Sparrow seems like it will be worth checking out. What time do the Monday comedy shows begin? I saw one random post about a show starting at 9:30 on May 18. Are they all at 9:30? If so, that's too late for me. I have to wake up at 5am for work.

I'll also bookmark the City Paper website as well.

I suspect most shows will start at about that time. Most bands/comedy acts start later rather than earlier.
