Lol! In my opinion, this is already a "racial" thing, but maybe not in the literal sense.

So, say a black man robs a store. What about a white man committing a murder? Sounds like some here would condemn entire races for the wrong doings of one individual. JMO.

If anyone would like to see the extent and frequency of violent Pit Bull attacks on humans and other dogs just go to Google and search for "Pit Bull Attacks"

And the point a lot of people are trying to make is how many of these alleged attacks are ACTUALLY pit bulls? How many articles include a picture of the dogs involved? And of course if you search for negative articles, that's all you are going to find.

If pits were really ticking time bombs, don't you think you'd have heard of a celebrity pit attacking someone?

"We have found the American pit bull to be superior as a narcotics and explosives detection dog. Please note: due to their inherent "people friendly" nature, we do NOT offer American pit bulls as "biting" (patrol) dogs. LawDogsUSA offers sweet natured, friendly detection dogs only."

This link: LAWDOGSUSA // Detection Dogs Made In America - Welcome to LawDogsUSA explains WHY they use/prefer pit bulls for detection work.

If this ENTIRE BREED was so unstable and untrustworthy, why would law enforcement want to use them?

It is the OWNERS of these dogs that are the problem, NOT the dogs as a breed themselves. Just at least put the blame where it lies.

Lots of good information throughout that site.

Bad Rap : Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pitbulls

Lots of good information there too.

I don't need a pit bull to look mean, big and bad. Matter of fact, I'm middle class, almost 24. I have no reason to look that way. I own this breed because I love them. I have my own personal fan club!

Dog attacks should be looked at on an individual basis. This is not a breed problem. This is an owner problem. This is an education problem. This is a people problem.
I rescued a pit-mix once. Sweetest dog I ever met. I already had two dogs so I couldn't keep her. I found a nice home for her instead. Nothing wrong with the breed. It's all about the owner

Most people who have a vendetta against pit bulls are to closed minded to really see what the real issue is. The real issue is the irresponsible owners. In Every single pit bull attack that I have researched there was an abusive or neglecting owner behind it. And it confuzes me why some people still can't grasp the fact that it's the irresponsible human behind the dog that is responsible for all the attacks that we hear about. On a positive note I found out today that in Maui law enforcement have been using pit bulls and german sheperds to sniff out drugs in public schools.

...and don't forget that the Buster Brown dog in the old shoe ads, the dog listening to the victrola for "his master's voice" and the dog in the Little Rascals were all pit bulls.

LOL! And just a few responses ago, you dared to suggest I was intelligent.

I don't think anyone is expecting you to come in and say "OMG I WAS SO WRONG!!!1111!" All we want is for you and anyone else who comes along to understand that this is not a black and white issue.
