Hey guys,

Has anyone heard what is causing the delay of the new Bass Pro Shop off Exit 205? I remember them saying it would be opening fall 2015.

Yes from what I can see, living near by; is that the infrastructure is built by the city as of yet. You have to get there via roads which aren't completed. Looks like the project is moving slowly by our forefathers. At least they just put up the poles for the stoplights this past week on Palmetto Pkwy.

By what ive seen, infrastructure isnt ready. BPS said "next two years" on Twitter, so probably 2017 at this point, which is amazing considering it was announced back in 2013.

hmmm most times the 'infrastructure' would be developed by the company who is doing the building construction of the store. Could be Bass Pro is stalling for some reason.

I don't think they have the roads being built considering there many other things going in there such as hotels.

Maybe they changed their minds since two other big sports stores just opened here within the last few months.

No it literally is infrastructure. The roads, pipes, etc in Ingleside arent done. Im not sure if theyve even started on the I-26 exit that theyre supposed to build. You really think BPS is responsible for building that?

Theyre not stalling, its just outside issues. The same thing is currently happening in Greer. This project is going to end up massive, we were a little naive to think it'd all stay on track. At this point, Ingleside just needs to take its sweet time. When you have a rush job, you have a botched job.

It depends. Often developers have a large tract of land and will have a number of commercial or residential options. The developer would work with Bass Pro, the hotel, etc. to plan and yes build the infrastructure. It all depends on the deal with the municipality. Bass Pro Shop will only be responsible for their building I suspect.

Once again SC is moving at a snail's pace to build roads. I bet Volvo gets delayed also due to SC DOT slow poke, never any urgency pace. Think about the Clemants Ferry widening project. It was supposed to be started last year.

Well the road that BP is being built on isnt exactly high priority. Not sure how its SCDOTs fault. Ingleside is a development that wants this road, its not something the state came up with.

Also never heard of any state that gets all its infrastructure projects done on time and on schedule. These projects are alot more complex than us folk on CD make them sound...
