I have been here almost 2 months. I go onto indeed.com and trident medical and musc. I would like to stay in the medical field since that's what I've been doing before moving here. I've done registration at a hospital for 2 years. I'm going crazy being stuck at home and really need to find something. Anyone have any other ideas? It sometimes help to have someone give you a heads up on a job. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried Craigslist? That's how both my husband and I got our jobs.

I have went on there a couple of times. I will add that into my rotation of job listings. I've never had a a hard time finding a job but I've never lived in such a highly populated area. I was naive to think I would just be able to find one just because I have a good work ethic.

Lots of issues in play here, including:

*Economic: The economy still isn't so great. Don't let any tell you otherwise.
*Area: We're growing, so more people are competing for jobs
*You: Why did you leave your last job? Have you held a lot of jobs over a short period of time? What skills do you lack?

Work ethic is great, but a resume does a poor job of communicating that.

Is your experience and education in direct medical care or in the business end?

I have just moved here from Michigan...couldn't keep that one. Although I do miss it. I've worked at the hospital for 2 years and the job before that I was there for 5 years. I am coming from a much smaller area, I'm not used to all the people yet. I'm getting there though. Haha.

I worked as registration in the hospital, I did all the updating on patients, insurance and taking co-pays. I really miss what I did. Basically I did a little bit of everything.

Well the good news is your not limited to a hospital environment only. Many medical/ dental practices also have such a business person. Leverage your hospital experience to them.
