Hi, I am moving to Charleston in a week. I already have a place to live off of Clements Ferry Rd. but, my job is downtown. I'm worried about how long its going to take to get there in the mornings. Granted I do work at more odd hours than the norm, but what is traffic on I26 like around 9 AM? Would I be better off taking 526 & 17? Thanks!!

My first thought is yes, take 526 and 17, but i don't work out there so i don't know for sure.

I would do a test run from home to work and clock your time. Double that time for your morning commute initially till you figure things out.

You will be fine taking 526 to I-26. In the morning and afternoon you will be going against traffic on 526 and the traffic on I-26 is already cleared at that time. Beside's most people are heading towards West Ashley and Mt P in the morning so you will have clear sailing.

Default Just be careful!

There are some seriously angry drivers on the roads here. WOW. We've only been here for 1 month and I have had 3 occasions where I thought the driver was going to chase me down. the idea of merging seems to enrage some people around here.
