People in my neighborhood are on high alert.

Today one house a block away was broken into and they broke the door down ram-shacked the place, took some jewelry and money before being interrupted and ran.

Next door the burglar attempted but didn't know wife was home and they had dogs that scared whoever away.

There have been several incidents lately very near me and in daylight.

I know there were some burglaries in the Sumter Rd. area maybe a year ago? I wonder if it's the same people doing this? Anyone know if they ever caught those people?

Where are you located?

I am in that Sumter Av area you cite, and it has been resolved.

I'm in the Tea Farm area. Was it just a single person that they caught?

Now there is someone over here. I hope they hurry and catch them. It's scary.

Screw catching. Hopefully someone shoots them.

Well if they go to my neighbors, they have a gun and I'm considering getting one.

I'd like to be able to boast and say that my neighborhood is safer BUT it isn't. This seems to be happening everywhere. It really isn't going to stop until homeowners are ultra-sensitive to what is going on in their neighborhoods. We leave our upstairs bedroom windows open in hopes to hear something if cars are being broken into within hearing range. Gosh, I hate a thief and I hope your neighborhood catches the jerks!

I love your Tea Farm area.

I don't know how many were involved, but just heard through neighborhood word of mouth that they caught the perp(s). Nothing's happened since around here, and people have relaxed a bit. This has always been a neighborhood that left all doors unlocked, but not any more.

It's never entered my mind to get a gun, though.
