I didnt know Mt P lost out on Academy. Wonder why.
Oh no . I go to Academy every time I travel to Florence for work. Love that store, so much cheaper than Dick's Sporting Goods. They have great clearance sales.
Funny how Lowes will double down in MtP, but nothing from Home Depot. Still want my Costco!
My assumption of Lowes intentions would be defensive .. ie is to keep Home Depot ..out of MTP... and it will probably work for the foreseeable future...
It would be nice if a manufacturer of train engines/cars would set up shop in the Charleston area, as it stands we have automotive/aeronautic and ship-building/maintaining companies but nothing about trains.
I'd like to see more white collar medical, tech, finance, energy, and communications companies. Like what you see in the Research Triangle, Charlotte, and Atlanta.
I know white collar isn't historically our culture and manufacturing is our backbone, but that doesn't have to stay the norm. We really need some more top flight companies and a more diverse workforce. I'd love to land more Fortunate 500 presence outside of manufacturing.
