What gives? It was just reported on the news, that NJ felt 4 super sonic booms. Air Force said it wasn't them. State Police indicated they did not know what it was. Weird stuff is happening on the east coast lately.
I'm thinking maybe the Navy is testing something "special". It's the normal evolution of information release. Tuesday it was explained away. Today, a little more info comes out. When they are ready for us to know, it'll be released.
Sonic booms in multiple places over the course of 48 hours? Preposterous! It's unpossible!
You seem hell bent to denigrate those who aren't believing the party line. Friend from South Jersey told me there was no way in hell that it was a "traditional" sonic boom. And he's been a zoomie for a heckuva long time.
No, there isn't an earthquake cover up. In fact, there may be no "cover up" at all.
But what happened in Charleston is most likely related to what happened in South Jersey. The geological survey has already stated, and provided evidence, that it was not an earthquake. The Marines in Beaufort made some mention of FA-18 flights over the ocean may have caused a sonic boom. Some of us with military experience doubted that. Now that a similar event has occurred, and the Navy has acknowledged "testing" in the area of today's event, pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Much like I said they would.
But no, no one thinks there is an earthquake cover up.
I have heard some speculate that it is oil exploration using sonic techniques. I am not familiar with this, so I won't posit a thought.
I didn't hear it, but sonic booms do feel like earthquakes when they are close enough and the winds blowing in the right direction, and the air is dense and cold. Ive heard them set off car alarms.
