I have recently moved to Summerville and looking for a running Group. Are there any groups that meet regularly each week to run in different areas of Summerville?
I checked the Meetup.com. At the moment there is no running group, but others who have expressed interest. I do some of this myself, so I would give it a shot.
Arkage, I came across your thread by accident and I am curious to know if you found a group to run with in Summerville. I am a member of a local club where we live and absolutely love and respect the people. It's an eclectic group of men and women of all abilities. We plan to move to Summerville this year and I've been searching for a group, myself. I am about twice your age but have done marathons, half marathons, a tri-athelon and if I may boast, when I entered 5 & 10 k races, I always finished in the top three for my age group. Due to medical issues, I have been relegated to 5k's at a slow pace but still love it. I kid my fellow members that when we move, I am going to form a southern chapter of our club. If you are interested in knowing about us you can check Roman Runners Club. Regards, Lou
I live in Goose Creek and am trying to get a running group together to meet at the Hamlets pool in Crowfield Plantation in the mornings, unless there is a group that is already meeting in Summerville. Just let me know, I just moved here in June and would really love a regular group to run with during the week. I am training for the Kiawah Island Marathon in December, but I only run about 5-6 for each run during the week. If anyone is interested you can email me at wimberlykate@yahoo.com. Thanks and happy running!
If you don't find something there, "Try Sports" store hosts a weekly run in Mt. Pleasant, with a variety of run locations (beach, bridge, parks...). Here's the link for their "run for fun club". I wish I was a runner so I could do it TrySports Running Groups Home Page
I am also about to move to Summerville from Germany and I would love to meet up with a couple of people to go running once or twice a week. I don't know any running trails in summerville yet, so it would be awesome if someone is familiar with trails.
